Common Net is an Italian Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Cloud Service Provider (CSP). We design and manage end-to-end digital infrastructures: Wi-Fi and fiber connectivity, VoIP, and cloud services (IaaS/SaaS) fully developed and managed in-house. We do this with an approach focused on operational continuity, security, and control.
We work with businesses, public administrations, and organizations that need a reliable digital foundation: stable connections, scalable cloud environments, backup and data protection, integrations, and competent technical support.
Every project starts by understanding the real context and is translated into tailored solutions, without “standard” packages that more often reduce performance instead of improving it. Our mission remains the same: through continuous innovation, to create digital infrastructures that connect people—especially where others do not reach—and to make technology usable, sustainable, and truly useful for those who rely on it every day: people, services, and communities.

2016
What to say About us? Common Net was founded in 2016, Common Net was born from the meeting of a group of engineers who, during their university years, shared not only studies and research, but also values and visions. Our story is one of people who chose to put their skills at the service of communities, transforming academic knowledge into concrete solutions to improve everyday life.
Our relationship with the academic world has remained active over time: collaborations, applied research, and continuous dialogue with those experimenting with new architectures and standards. This allows us to bring a more rigorous and forward-looking approach to our daily work: analysis before decisions, clean design, and solutions that stand the test of time and evolve without unnecessary complexity. This is how we put innovation at the service of those who rely on us—through solid, manageable infrastructures that are truly useful in real-world contexts.
2019
In the first three years of our activity, we built strong relationships with private individuals, businesses, and public administrations by carefully listening to their needs and responding with effective solutions. These relationships, based on mutual trust, remain our most valuable asset to this day.
In 2019, thanks to collaboration with several business networks in the Lazio region, we expanded our infrastructure into the province of Rome, reaching areas that had previously been underserved. Our network grew to include Riano, north of Rome, and the Prenestini-Lepini Mountains to the south, bringing connectivity where there had been none before.
2022
In 2022, we took a further step forward by becoming a full-fledged Cloud Service Provider (CSP) with the creation of our own proprietary cloud infrastructure based on a CloudStack environment. This allows us to offer dedicated cloud computing solutions that integrate seamlessly with our philosophy of openness and sharing.
2024
In December 2024, we obtained the ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001:2024 certifications, along with the related extensions ISO/IEC 27017:2015 and ISO/IEC 27018:2019, as well as the qualification of our infrastructure and IaaS services by ACN (National Cybersecurity Agency).
Today, Common Net is a recognised and accredited ISP operating throughout Italy, competing with major operators while maintaining the personal attention and direct customer relationship that distinguish us.
2025 – About us and our plans for the future
From 2025 onward, Common Net looks ahead with a clear direction: to continue innovating without losing what defines us—direct control, technical responsibility, and a human relationship. We aim to build genuine partnerships with professionals and organizations that think like we do: competent, pragmatic, and demanding. People for whom “good enough” is not enough, and “good” is still not sufficient. Because it is at that level of attention—visible only when something truly matters—that infrastructures are built to last, evolve, and create value over time.
