Common Net is an Italian Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Cloud Service Provider (CSP). We design and manage end-to-end digital infrastructures: Wi-Fi and fibre optic connectivity, VoIP, and cloud services (IaaS/SaaS) developed and run entirely in-house, with an approach built around business continuity, security and control.
We work with businesses, public administrations and organisations that need a reliable digital foundation: stable connections, scalable cloud environments, backup and data protection, integrations and competent technical support.
Every project starts by listening to the real context and translates into tailored solutions, with no “standard” packages, which more often than not reduce performance rather than improve it. Our mission remains the same: through continuous innovation, to create digital infrastructures that connect people, especially where others don’t reach, and to make technology usable, sustainable and genuinely useful for those who rely on it every day: people, services, communities.
VISION
We believe a connected territory is the essential condition for improving people’s quality of life and strengthening businesses’ competitiveness in the market. In today’s interconnected world, no one should be left behind for lack of access to digital technologies.
Our vision rests on a fundamental principle: digitalisation should happen through open source software and the adoption of standard technologies, valuing knowledge sharing and promoting sustainable, ethical technological development that puts the common good at its centre.

Common Net’s mission is to bridge the digital divide by building telecommunications infrastructures that are technologically advanced and accessible to all. We are committed to reaching underserved communities, where other operators don’t go, with solutions that respond to the real needs of each territory.
At the same time, we support businesses through their digitalisation journey with dedication and professionalism, offering specific, personalised solutions for transporting and managing data. Our goal isn’t just to provide technology, but to build lasting relationships based on mutual trust and shared growth.
OUR STORY
2016
In 2016, Common Net was born from the meeting of a group of engineers who, during their university years, shared not only studies and research, but also values and a vision. Ours is the story of people who chose to put their skills at the service of communities, turning academic knowledge into concrete solutions that improve everyday life.
Our relationship with the academic world has remained active over time: collaborations, applied research, and ongoing dialogue with those experimenting with new architectures and standards. This lets us bring a more rigorous, forward-looking approach to our everyday work: analysis before decisions, clean design, solutions that hold up over time and evolve without unnecessary complexity. This is how we put innovation at the service of those who trust us: with solid, manageable infrastructures that are genuinely useful in the real world.
2019
In our first three years, we built solid relationships with private customers, businesses and public administrations, listening carefully to their needs and responding with effective solutions. These relationships, founded on mutual trust, remain our most valuable asset today.
In 2019, thanks to a collaboration with business networks in the Lazio Region, we extended our infrastructure across the province of Rome, reaching territories that until then had been poorly served. Our network grew to embrace Riano, north of Rome, and the Prenestini and Lepini mountains to the south, bringing connectivity where there was none before.
2022
In 2022 we took a further evolutionary step, becoming a fully fledged Cloud Service Provider (CSP) with the launch of our own proprietary cloud infrastructure built on CloudStack. This allows us to offer dedicated cloud computing solutions that fit perfectly with our philosophy of openness and sharing.
2024
In December 2024 we achieved ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001:2024 certification, with the related extensions ISO/IEC 27017:2015 and ISO/IEC 27018:2019, as well as the qualification of our IaaS infrastructure and services with ACN (the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency).
Today Common Net is a recognised, accredited ISP operating across the whole of Italy, competing with the major operators while keeping the personal attention and direct customer relationships that set us apart.
2025
From 2025 onwards, Common Net looks ahead with a clear direction: to keep innovating without losing what defines us. Direct control, technical responsibility, human relationships. We want to build genuine partnerships with professionals and organisations who think the way we do: competent, practical and demanding. People for whom “fine” isn’t enough and “good” still isn’t good enough. Because it’s at that level of care, the kind you only see when something truly matters, that infrastructures are built to last, evolve and create value over time.
